Lab Tester

Cemza is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Tester to join our Quality department on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing raw materials, in-process samples, and final products, ensuring data integrity and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS). You’ll play a critical role in maintaining the standard of Cemza’s products and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
Perform safe, accurate, and precise analysis of raw materials, in-process, and final product samples
Calibrate and verify test and support equipment
Handle storage and shipment of control and test samples
Retrieve, record, and process sample data via LIMS for release or hold decisions
Contribute to and revise laboratory work instructions and protocols
Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Management Systems
Maintain housekeeping standards within the lab
Assist other departments and perform related duties as required
National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
Proven experience in a Quality Control or Laboratory environment
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Ability to manage high volume workloads and tight deadlines
Experience with sophisticated, computer-driven lab instruments
Strong communication and documentation skills
Advanced data analysis or LIMS experience
Prior experience in cement or heavy manufacturing industries
Familiarity with ISO-based lab systems and audit processes
