Truck Operator

Cemza Coastal is hiring two experienced Truck Operators to join our Cape Town operations. This role requires the safe and timely transportation of bulk materials to various clients. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, professional client interaction, and full compliance with all relevant logistics and transport procedures.
Load, transport, and deliver items safely and on schedule.
Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles.
Provide excellent customer service and handle any client questions or concerns.
Adhere to assigned routes, time schedules, and transportation laws.
Maintain a safe driving record and prepare delivery documentation.
Operate equipment and check vehicle safety before departure.
Match STB POD slips, weighbridge slips, and electronic delivery instructions with client details.
Obtain verbal confirmation from dispatch and take site photos as required.
Ensure unbroken seal is opened by client only, not the driver.
Present POD documentation before discharge.
Valid Code EC (old code 14) license
Valid PDP
2–5 years’ experience as a Code 14 truck driver
English literate (read, write, speak)
Good physical health and fitness
Sober habits
Strong time management and route adherence
Positive customer service attitude
Familiarity with bulk deliveries and electronic delivery tracking systems
Safety-first mindset
Salary Range: R10,000 – R14,000 p/m (based on experience)
Based at Cemza Coastal, Cape Town
